E’mari Zurko Richardson, from Youngstown Ohio, is a fourth-year Sociology major with a Public Health minor. This is her third year being involved with African American Heritage Festival, serving as a sub-committee member on Variety Show, then serving as the Co-chair for 40th’s Variety Show, and now serving as the Co-chair for 41st’s Poetry Showcase. Outside of her commitment to the festival she holds an off and on-campus job along with volunteering at local elementary schools, and mentoring and engaging with first-year college students. After graduation, she plans to pursue nursing school to become a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to save and protect the innocent young lives of our future.
