Taylor Lonas

  • Title: Gospel Fest Co-Chair

Taylor Lonas is a Gospel Fest co-chair for the 41st African American Heritage Festival. Prior to serving as a chair for this year’s committee, she served on the Variety Show subcommittee for the 40th festival. Taylor is a native of Toledo, Ohio and a senior studying political science and legal foundations. She has worked to serve the youth of Columbus as a mentor for College Mentors for Kids, OSU’s Office of Diversity & Inclusion, and Steps for Success. Outside of her role as a mentor, Taylor serves as an executive board member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and an ambassador for the Office of International Affairs. She was included in the 15th edition of Who’s Who in Black Columbus as a student leader and has been inducted into the 112th class of Sphinx Senior Honorary. In her spare time, you can find her singing with the African American Voices Gospel Choir and studying abroad.

Taylor plans to attend law school upon graduation to receive a juris doctor (JD) and master of business administration (MBA) dual degree. In the future, she aspires to become an attorney and work towards achieving legislative justice for minorities before opening her own firm.
