Word on the Street: She said what She said!

Tuesday, April 3, 2018 -- 6:00 p.m.

Location: Ohio Union U.S. Bank Theater

The 40th Annual African American Heritage Festival invites you to gather, discuss, and discover at our signature featured event, Word on the Street: Disturbing the Legacy. When addressing Legacy it is important to take time to reflect on ways that your legacy has been disrupted, formed, or destroyed. Lineages of color often face unwavering levels of trauma that have the ability to weaken the strength a lineage holds. We will create dialogue around its implications and create a path to move forward. We encourage you to join us as we dive deeper into the origins, perceptions, and testimonies of the legacy we’ve adopted and created for our future across the diaspora.
