Atta Diop

Atta Diop (she/her/hers) is a third year public health major with a specialization in Sociology and double minors in Business & The Legal Foundations of Society on a pre law track. She is Senegalese and born and raised in Atlanta Georgia. She serves as one of the co chairs for Fest on the Block for the 46th Annual Heritage Festival. Atta has become a very active member of campus throughout her collegiate career. She is a currently in the Morrill Scholarship Program, Undergraduate Student Government Black Caucus, Biological Scholars Program, African Youth League, Undergraduate Black Law Students Association, and works as a Resident Advisor and Academic Success Partner for the Young Scholars Program on campus. Atta became a chair for AAHF because her previous time as a subcommittee member in the 45th Heritage Festival highlighted to her a community dedicated to celebrating the beauty in black excellence. With her leadership and communication skills, Atta hopes to become a bigger part in pushing an event that gives students on campus a time to enjoy each others presence making long lasting memories of a fun and exciting time while embracing being unapologetically black.
