Hannaniah Matthews

Hannaniah Matthews is a second-year dual degree student in Operations Management
and Hospitality Management from Columbus, Ohio. She currently serves as one of the
co-chairs for Town Hall Thursday, a signature event of the African American Heritage
Festival. On campus, Hannaniah is deeply involved in organizations that foster
community both within and beyond the university.

She is a mentor ambassador for Fisher First and the Learning Experience Chair for the
Entrepreneurship and Innovation Scholars Program. In addition, Hannaniah is the CEO
and founder of Quazy Blessed Sweets, her own baking business. She holds a
Community Health Worker certification and is actively engaged with Health Impact Ohio.
She also leads the community outreach program at her church, where she serves as
the soprano lead in the choir. Beyond her leadership roles, Hannaniah tutors high
school and middle school students in various subjects.

While pursuing her bachelor’s degrees, Hannaniah is also working toward earning a
master’s in Public Health, a master’s in Food Science, and completing a culinary
program at Columbus State. Through her various endeavors, she is committed to
uplifting and celebrating Black excellence, particularly through her work with the African
American Heritage Festival.
