Miriam Myers

Miriam (she/her) is a 2nd year PSychology major with Youth Development and Child Abuse & Neglect Minors. She is from Cleveland, Ohio and some of her extracurriculars include being a resident advisor for Norton House, a Morrill Scholar, and a chair on the service committee for Mount Leadership Society Scholars Program. In her free time she enjoys working out/being active, volunteering, and reading. She joined Fest because after attending African American Heritage Fest events during her freshman year, she knew this organization was where she belonged. The Fest offers a week-long celebration of the Black diaspora, creating a welcoming space for African and African American students to embrace and honor their beautiful culture. The events showcase our community's joys, wonders, and beauty, and she was inspired to contribute to that legacy. Ultimately, she joined with a deeper purpose: to serve the Black community and help cultivate a space filled with love, acceptance, and joy.
